From the World's First to the World's Best!Ranks 5th Globally in Terms of the Number of Spine Disease Research Papers

The number of spinal diseases is rapidly increasing due to the frequent use of smartphones and computers in the modern era. Korea has had many
spinal disease patients due to a sedentary lifestyle. Through countless clinical trials and research activities, the country made notable achievements
in spinal surgeries, including endoscopic laser treatment for disc diseases, robotic surgeries, and minimally invasive surgeries, etc.

Strength

The success rate of scoliosis surgeries in Korea is very high at almost 80 to 90% for idiopathic scoliosis. Korean researchers published 84 case
papers through the World Spinal Column Society, putting Korea in the top five in the world.
Following the establishment of an endoscopic laser surgery methodology to treat disc disease for the first time in the world, Korea succeeded in
producing spinal surgery robots in the country. Korea will provide global top-class surgeries for spinal disease patients by leveraging global
pioneering medical technology.
